The Lord's Prayer

Our Father In Heaven,

May Your Name be kept holy,

May Your Kingdom come,

May Your Will be done on earth

Just as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

Forgive us our wrongdoings ;

Just as we have forgiven those who wrong against us.

Lead us not into temptations;

But deliver us from evil.

For yours are the Kingdom,

The Power,

and the Glory for ever.

Amen.

Enjoying the Favour of the Father

When I know God personally, even as my  "Father in Heaven", I am never too far away from His favour. I am confident of His undivided attention. I cannot be any happier to be in His presence. Yet I am also aware that He is God. His Kingdom and His will supersedes every concern of mine or, of the world for that matter. I am only too happy to submit myself to His supremacy because all the things He do, He do for the good of His people, me included. Therefore I am contended with just bread for the day; I am willing to love my enemies(at least I will try); I even pray for holiness (I used to think that it is neither practical nor possible).

Yes, Jesus wants me to pray for Kingdom, Power and Glory, from Father God and not from the world. I must confess I don't really understand it all. But as I pray this prayer daily my heart is drawn ever closer to the Father. I go about life always being reminded of this special favour before God.
